Exporting & Archiving Projects
Administrators of DM projects can export a sustainable archive of their project to ensure its content will remain accessible even if the DM platform becomes obsolete or inaccessible.
Exporting a project creates two backups: an HTML and JPEG based archive that can be open in any basic web browser, and an SQL archive of the raw database.
-
Click the project settings icon at the top-right corner of the project Table of Contents menu on the left-hand side of your screen to open the project settings menu.
-
Click the “Exports” tab button at the top-left corner of the menu.
-
Click the “Initiate Export" to start the download of the archive.
-
Once the download is complete, open the "Index.html" file to access Table of Contents for the project; from there, all primary image and documents in the project are accessible.
-
Image and text files will display in the browser with colored highlights actively linked to their original links of annotations and other documents, which will display in footnote form at the bottom of the document display. Clicking on these footnotes will link to the items in question. .
